Due to the increased travel risks presented by the COVID-19 global pandemic, Carey International is working with its partners under the guidance of global health authorities, including the WHO and CDC; and in conjunction with local governments and public health experts, to implement the following standards for chauffeured ground transportation.
Passenger Requirements:
Personal Health/Wellness
- Carey does not currently require proof of vaccination to travel with us at this time.
- Passengers must not travel if they are feeling ill
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- Carey has amended it masking requirement 04-19-22
- Passengers must wear a CDC approved face covering only when traveling in countries and cities where it is mandated by law
- Carey continues to strongly encourage our passengers to protect themselves by wearing a mask in the close confines of our vehicles
- Carey will provide a CDC-approved surgical mask, or other approved face covering, if the passenger does not have one
- Carey reserves the right to refuse service if passenger(s) will not comply in cities or jurisdictions where the use of face coverings is mandated by law
Social Distancing
- Carey will not seat passengers in the front seat opposite of our chauffeurs in any passenger vehicle
- Please keep in mind based on distancing preferences, seating capacity may vary
- Passengers may determine the level of social distancing appropriate for the traveling party
- Passengers are encouraged to handle their own baggage
- Passengers are encouraged not open their own doors or compartments when entering the vehicle
Chauffeur Health and Hygiene
Personal Health
- Chauffeurs must not report to work if feeling ill
- All employees and chauffeurs to complete daily health monitor questionnaire prior to beginning their shift
- Disclose to Carey any known contact or exposure to COVID-19 and immediately follow CDC testing protocols before returning to work
- All Carey Chauffeurs are encouraged and incentivized to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Due to various privacy laws chauffeurs and employees are not obligated to disclose vaccination status in every city Carey services. Companies such as Carey are offering incentives and rewards to employees and chauffeurs that provide us with proof of vaccination

- Carey Chauffeurs possess an in-car supply of sealed masks for passengers
- Each vehicle will maintain a supply of CDC-approved hand sanitizer available for passengers
Hygiene + Personal Disinfectant
- Carey Chauffeurs must wash hands between each trip and every opportunity including breaks
- Chauffeurs must apply hand sanitizer before and after each trip
